So, you’re tired of your blog looking the same? No worries, I got you. Clean Pro comes with plenty of built-in options to give your blog a glow-up. But before we dive in, here’s a quick heads-up:

HubSpot’s drag-and-drop editor doesn’t play the same way with blog posts as it does with regular pages. You can add modules inside the post content area, but that’s about it. For everything else, you’ll need to hit up the theme settings. Let’s break it down.

How to Access the Blog Layout Settings

While editing a blog post, go to Theme Settings. Look for the Blog > Post Page section. That’s where the magic happens. It’s split into two main areas:

Post Header (The Top Section of Your Blog Post)

Here, you can tweak everything at the top of your post, including:

  • Featured image placement
  • Background color
  • Post title font style
  • Show/Hide options for date, author, tags, etc.
  • Spacing adjustments to keep things looking just right

Post Body (The Main Content Area)

This is where you can control how your blog post is structured. Options include:

  • Adding a Sidebar
  • Enabling a Table of Contents
  • Showing Social Share Buttons
  • Turning Comments on or off
  • Adjusting the width of the post content (500-800px is the sweet spot)
  • Choosing Typography styles for text

Blog Sidebar: What You Need to Know

Once enabled in theme settings, the Sidebar is a global module, meaning it will appear on every blog post. No exceptions.

To edit it:

  1. Open a blog post in the editor.
  2. Click Contents List to see all the modules.
  3. Find the Sidebar module and edit it.

Inside, you can:

  • Add text, images, or anything else using the rich text editor
  • Insert a form
  • Display popular blog tags

If you make a change here, it updates across all blog posts. So, you know, think before you act.

Table of Contents: Customize Per Post

Unlike the Sidebar, the Table of Contents is a local module, meaning you can edit it for each individual blog post.

Want to add one? Here’s how:

  1. Open a blog post in the editor.
  2. Click the Table of Contents module in the Contents List or directly in the page editor.
  3. Edit as needed.

Heads up: If you already have a bunch of blog posts, adding a Table of Contents means going into each one manually. So, plan accordingly.
