Partner Program
Can I start with Clean Lite and upgrade later?
How easy is it to upgrade to Clean Pro down the road?
Should you start your client on Clean Lite if they don't need the full Clean Pro theme yet but might want to upgrade later?
Before you decide which theme is right for your client, know that while you can graduate from Clean Lite to Clean Pro, you’ll have to rebuild each page manually (here's how the process would go). Unfortunately, there’s no easy one-click switch. If your client might want to migrate in the next few months, it’s probably worth going with Clean Pro from day one.
If your client is a personal blogger or one-man show with no interest in a large website now or down the road, Clean Lite could be the right choice to save them some dough up front. Remember, though, that Clean Lite isn’t eligible for partner commissions.
Clean Pro is likely the better fit if your client:
- Needs (or might someday need) a site with more than 30 pages
- Wants access to popular features (like the Mega Menu, Magic Module, and more)
- Wants to scale their business
- Sees their website as a long-term investment
- Has Content Hub Professional or above
If your client is on HubSpot's Content Hub Starter subscription, Clean Pro will still be compatible (but they might have limited access to features like multiple domains and smart content). The good news is that upgrading HubSpot tiers is way easier than upgrading from Clean Lite to Clean Pro.
Also, Clean Pro gives you access to Kevin himself! You’ll still get standard email support if you go with CLEAN Lite, but you won’t have the perks of 2 free hours of customization or consultations over Zoom.
Pro tip: Stop trying to "sell" your clients on Clean Pro vs. Lite. Our most successful Clean Pro partners bake the price into their overall package, delivering immediate, all-inclusive value.
You got this. Thanks for helping to make the world a better place, one website at a time.
